Do the right thing he always say! He was our grandpa, father, war hero, and larger than life. We wore him like a medal of honor, and belonging to him gave us our identity. I am so proud and grateful to be his granddaughter.

I think about what he would say to us now after meeting Jesus if we could have one more conversation about life what would it be?

I absolutely know that he would tell us there is nothing more important than following the Lord. He’d want us to love God and one another, exercising forgiveness, kindness, and compassion without exception.

My Grandpa loves Jesus. He told me many times. I don’t remember him being overly religious, but he had a relationship with Jesus Christ which is all that matters.
In John 14:6 Jesus says, I am the Way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.

God made a way for my grandpa to enter the kingdom of heaven over 2000 years ago. He sent his son to live the perfect life that we couldn’t, to become sin, and die on the cross. Jesus paid the ransom for my grandpa’s life. he overcame death, made a fool of the devil and said his Holy Spirit to live inside all believers.

He didn’t want heaven without any of us so he made a Way! In fact, he loves you so very much, if you were the only person alive, he would have still gone to the cross just for you.

This free gift of eternal life, forgiveness of past present and future sins has already been accomplished for all humanity. It’s already done, waiting to be received. But since God gave us a free will, we have to choose to receive this gift by grace through faith.

While belonging to Grandpa gave me much of my identity, I know he would tell me that finding our identity in Christ is the most important journey we could take.

Your heavenly father adores you, he isn’t mad at you for your mistakes. He is absolutely delighted in you. He calls you his daughters and sons. You are chosen, set apart, adopted by the most high God. His thoughts about you outnumber the grains of sand. You have a beautiful inheritance. This and so much more is who you are in Christ.

The greatest gift my grandpa gave me was the peace of knowing where he will spend eternity.

If you haven’t received Christ into your heart, I’d love to pray with you today.

Peace and love be with you all.
